Following a brief but noteworthy moment at his father’s 40-day observance ceremony, Nana Kwadwo Safo Kantanka Jr., son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo, has sparked online discussion.
On October 20, 2025, at the University of Ghana Sports Complex, Kwadwo Safo Jr. was seen refusing Apostle Francis Amoako Attah’s handshake. The incident was caught on camera and has since gone viral.
Apostle Amoako Attah was seen in the video showing up for the ceremony to offer condolences to the family of the late Apostle Dr. Kwadwo Safo Kantanka.
He greeted a number of Apostle Safo’s children, including Sarah Adwoa Safo, a politician who was watching the events from a canopy.
But when he went up to Nana Kwadwo Safo Jr., who had a fan in his hand and was looking calm but serious, Kwadwo Safo refused to shake hands with the prophet.
Rather than making physical contact, he acknowledged the gesture with a slight nod. Apostle Amoako Attah persisted in welcoming other guests in the vicinity, unfazed.
Meanwhile, family members, church leaders, and notable figures like former President John Agyekum Kufuor, Osebo the Zaraman, Mercy Asiedu, Dr. Elsie Effah Kaufmann, Apostle Francis Amoako Attah, Freddie Blay, and others gathered for the 40th day of the late founder of Kristo Asafo Mission.
The event was organized in remembrance of Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, who died on September 14, 2025, and was the founder of the Kristo Asafo Mission and Kantanka Group.
