The reason behind the adjournment of Osofo Biblical court case with Agradaa

Agradaa was brought to the courthouse under strict security prior to the planned 12 p.m. sitting, according to Angel FM’s legal correspondent Ama Brako Ampofo, who was on the scene.

Through the subterranean tunnel that is usually used to transport inmates into the courtroom, the founder of Heaven Way Champion International was taken in a police car.

While they waited for the proceedings to start, her husband, Angel Asiamah, was also there with their attorney.

She was taken through the tunnel because she is in prison custody. At 12 p.m., the court was supposed to convene. Her husband, Asiamah, and her lawyer were already there when we got there. She had reportedly already been taken in, but she stayed in a police car underground, which is where inmates are usually kept, according to Ampofo.

However, the hearing could not take place, as the judge originally assigned to the case had recently been promoted to the Court of Appeal.

Due to the lack of a replacement, the trial was postponed until November 11, 2025.

According to the reporter, “The judge who was supposed to oversee the case was one of those who was recently promoted from the High Court to the Court of Appeal.”

The legal dispute between Osofo Appiah Biblical and Agradaa began in 2021 after Thunder TV (now Today TV) allegedly displayed explicit images of Appiah Biblical.

She was charged under the Cybersecurity Act for possessing and disseminating pornographic material after the broadcast on Agradaa’s TV station was connected to a dispute over GH¢10,000.

On July 18, 2024, she was taken into custody and subsequently released on GH¢200,000 bail with two sureties.
