The Bundesliga champions said on Tuesday that Vincent Kompany’s tenure as coach of Bayern Munich has been extended by two years, until 2029.
Belgian Kompany, who was not Bayern’s first choice when he was hired in the summer of 2024, won the German championship for the Bavarians against Bayer Leverkusen in his first season there.
With 11 victories in 11 games this season, the 39-year-old has Bayern afloat and leading both the Bundesliga and Champions League standings.
