As nations vie for victory in the Round of 16 in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), there will likely be some tense matches.
With players like Mohamed Salah, Riyad Mahrez, Victor Osimhen, Ademola Lookman, and Brahim Díaz dazzling to achieve victory for their sides, the successful football giants stood out in the group stage.
A tantalising match between the Indomitable Lions of Cameroon and the Bafana Bafana of South Africa will kick off the Round of 16.
Tanzania and host Morocco will compete in a thrilling match to decide who moves on to the next stage.
Mali will play Tunisia, while Algeria will play the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

It is important to note that the teams who advance to the quarterfinal round will be determined by these matches, which are scheduled for January 3–6, 2026.
