Kennedy Agyapong declares, “I will never apologise to you, fake pastors.”

Despite growing public pressure, businessman, politician, and presidential candidate Hon. Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has once again taken a strong stand against what he refers to as “fake pastors”, vowing never to apologise to any of them in his characteristically fiery tone.

Speaking impassionedly while visiting a Seventh-day Adventist (SDA) congregation, Agyapong disclosed a recent incident at the airport that rekindled the controversy surrounding his long-standing criticism of specific clergymen. I met a pastor at the airport this morning who said, ‘I like you, but I do not like you.’ To the congregation’s laughter, Agyapong recounted, “I told him that means I get 50 percent.” “You are nice, but you act violently on TV because you criticise pastors,” he said.

The vocal politician even went so far as to say that some of the very pastors he had exposed for misleading their congregations had come to him in private to express regret.

Having observed the SDA Church’s preaching for almost 20 years, Agyapong commended them for their integrity and consistency. “I have been listening to your messages every Saturday since 2007.” You have been preaching the truth for eighteen years. I am here for that reason. I support churches that spread the gospel, not those that deceive their members in the name of Christ.

Agyapong also presented his plans for Ghana’s economic recovery during the event, urging significant investment in regional businesses. According to him, Ghana could hire over a million people in the next ten years if it concentrated on industrialisation. “Hon. Kennedy Agyapong is the only genuine leader who can turn this nation around,” he asserted with assurance.

SDA pastors gathered around Agyapong to pray for divine protection and guidance, comparing him to the biblical figure of Joseph, who rose from prison to leadership, as the event came to a spiritual close. One of the ministers prayed, “Lord, bless your servant Kennedy Agyapong.” “Lift him as you lifted Joseph. Give the enemy peace by breaking all of his circles.

The congregation roared “Amens” as the prayer session came to an end, and the outspoken lawmaker bowed his head in humility—a rare gesture for a man known for his unbridled boldness.
