Singer Sista Afia, whose memory of an inappropriate encounter is still vivid, has described how a fan once inappropriately pressed her just before she took the stage.
Sista Afia revealed in an interview on Hitz FM on October 30, 2025, that she finds it extremely unpleasant when fans attempt to touch her on her approach to the stage.
She claims that during one of her concerts, a fan pressed her “front part” so hard that she attacked the fan with a microphone out of impulse, injuring them and sending them to the hospital.
“I loathe it when people, especially fans, prefer to touch me while I am performing; it is something I detest.” I find it really uncomfortable. When they put pressure on me, I dislike it. I once struck someone with a microphone after they pressed me so hard. “The individual needed to visit the hospital,” she stated.
Sista Afia went on to say that despite the fact that there were security guards at the event, she felt so uneasy that her first instinct was to protect herself.
She clarified that these kinds of accidents typically occur at ill-planned concerts when performers must navigate large crowds to get to the stage.
“My initial reaction was to act right away. Sometimes getting to the stage requires navigating the crowd, particularly in poorly planned events. My immediate reaction when the person did that was to identify him, so I gave him a really strong microphone blow,” she continued.
