On Tuesday, October 28, President John Mahama paid a condolence visit to the family of the late former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings.
He offered the deceased’s family his condolences and promised them a dignified farewell and an appropriate state burial.
We are awaiting a meeting with the family so they can express their wishes. However, as President, I would like to declare that we would give her a state funeral,” he stated.
The President stated that during this time, the government will coordinate with the family of the deceased. Mr Mahama continued, “We will collaborate closely with the family.”
On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings died at Accra’s Ridge Hospital.
