Gospel superstar Piesie Esther has stated that she is certain she will win Artist of the Year if she faces Black Sherif in the same category once more.
In an interview with host Nii Noi on Hitz FM, the “Waye Me Yie” hitmaker expressed her readiness and determination to prevail the next time they compete.
“If I face Black Sherif again, I will win Artist of the Year,” she said. “I will do everything in my power to make it happen.”
Piesie Esther, a strong contender for Artist of the Year at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards, lost the title to Black Sherif despite strong support from the gospel community and music lovers across the country.
She said she was not discouraged by the outcome even if she did not win because the nomination and recognition were significant achievements in her career.
“I was not depressed about losing. Being nominated in the first place was a huge honor, but this time, I am prepared,” she declared.
The well-known gospel singer emphasized that she has been working harder than ever before, creating quality music and building strong bonds with her fans via performances and ministry.
She asserts that the next time she sees a secular act in the same category, like Black Sherif, her commitment and perseverance will have an impact.
