Kumawood actor Nana Kwame Obrempong has stepped up to confront and refute recent allegations that circulated on social media that wrongly stated he had died.
The actor gave fans and the public the assurance that he is still alive, well, and in a good mood during an exclusive interview with host Dave Hammer on Hello FM.
Fans, family, and industry colleagues were deeply concerned about the erroneous stories that swiftly went viral on social media earlier today.
Obrempong said that he started getting a barrage of calls from anxious family members who wanted to verify the unsettling allegations.
During the live interview, he stated, “I want to make it obvious to everyone that I am alive and doing extremely well.”” The rumours do not have any basis. I implore Ghanaians to ignore such falsehoods and refrain from needlessly inciting panic and terror.
He thanked everyone who contacted him to enquire about his health, saying that their concern demonstrated the public’s continued love and support for him. “The fact that so many people are concerned means a lot to me,” he continued.
Obrempong also strongly cautioned those who disseminate the misleading information, highlighting the psychological harm that such bogus news can inflict on a person’s friends and relatives.
He urged people to confirm news from reliable sources before disseminating it, particularly when it deals with delicate subjects like death.
In addition to being careless, he stated that spreading untrue information about someone who is passing can cause severe trauma for their loved ones and admirers. “Let us exercise greater caution and make sure we verify such reports before disseminating them.”
